SB x Parra Olympic Kits
What started in 2018 as conversations with Dutch artist, Pieter Janssen, aka Parra, turned into a multiyear collaborative journey leading to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In 2019 we brought to life a campaign around Parra’s artwork, music, and SB Dunk, while working closely to create a story and journey to the first ever skateboarding kits for the olympics.
In 2020, we had ready a fully sustainable apparel line built for the first ever Olympic Skateboarders. Through many collaborative sessions and trips to Tokyo, Parra and the SB team created Olympic kits for 4 federations.

We set out to provide skaters a mix and match system of dress that they could build looks from. We wanted to provide freedom of choice and keep the kits from becoming uniforms. Basing fit’s on heritage sport and vintage skateboard looks, each kit embodied a landscape reminiscent of skateboarding a city in that country.
